Holiday Gift Guide for the Traveler in Your Life

True life: I’ve been on a bit of a shopping binge lately. Like straight up, I’ve been DREAMING about shopping sprees. Yes, the dreams have been amazing, and yes, I’ve been disappointed every morning when I don’t wake up amidst Nordstrom and Anthropologie bags.

But before you start recommending I go to a Shopaholics Anonymous meeting, all my online and in-store browsing got me thinking about what the perfect gift would be for people who like to jet set, such as moi! (Husband…take note.)

So I’ve decided to compile a list of awesome gift ideas for that traveler in your life to help ease your shopping woes this holiday season. Enjoy!

1. Compass Necklace

Check out this necklace! It comes in gold and silver and I’m obsessed.

2. The New York Times: 36 Hours Book Series

I love these books so much! I have the USA & Canada one, which makes a perfect addition to my coffee table book collection.

3. City Map Poster

These city map posters are such a clever idea to get for someone to remind them of their favorite city, or their hometown!

4. Airport Code Luggage Tag

Totally digging that these luggage tags are made from vegan leather.

5. Language Phrasebook

I love these pocket-sized books! They’re perfect for travel and come in French, Spanish, Italian, German, and Portuguese.

6. Jewelry Organizer

Having a good jewelry organizer is a no-brainer for every travel girl. There’s nothing worse than going to accessorize your fave outfit only to find that all of your necklaces are tangled! THE WORST.

7. Travel Fund Bank

Super cute idea to have around the house for your loose change! You’d be surprised how much it adds up 😉

8. Airport Code Poster

Another fun piece of wall art for the constant traveler.

9. Great Escapes North America

I have this book as well, and it has fueled a lot of daydreams of weekend trips across the US.

10. Noise Cancelling Headphones

A must-have for any frequent flyer. There are so many brands and options out there – whether you get Bose, Sony, Skullcandy, Beats…I’m sure you will find something within your budget that will have your loved one jumping for joy!

11. Carry-On Luggage

Pretty much obsessing over the vintage look of this carry-on right now. It also comes in Chocolate, and no joke, I saw a couple who had one of each walking through John Wayne Airport a few weeks back and I thought to myself, “Wow. Couple goals, right there.”

12. World Map & Push Pins

Jordan and I have this map in our home and put a pin in every destination we’ve been to as a couple! It’s super fun, and the map looks classy AF. We also decided to get gold push pins because the multi-colored ones it came with didn’t match our decor.

13. Travel Journal

I love writing (obviously) so having a journal would be a creative way to jot down my thoughts throughout a trip. Here are two that inspire you to be a mindful traveler, one that has room for itineraries and daily thoughts, and another that is left blank for whatever you want! Something for everyone 🙂

14. Airplane Mode Sweater

The perfect outfit for flying. Every. Single. Time.

15. Fujifilm Instax Camera

I love that instant film made a comeback. This camera is an automatic win for me.

16. Coordinate Necklace

A beautiful piece of jewelry to commemorate a special place! Maybe a favorite city, hometown, where they studied abroad, destination wedding…

17. Essential Oils

I am ALL about essential oils (lowkey, I’m a doTerra Wellness Advocate so feel free to ask me any questions about essential oils). This is a great starter kit, and I always like to bring some with me when I travel. Lavender is great for promoting relaxation and restful sleep (adios, jet lag). Lemon is known for its invigorating and cleansing properties – great in your water in the AM! And Peppermint not only smells delicious, but helps with digestion when taken orally and promotes healthy respiratory function and clear breathing when inhaled.

18. Travel Backpack

This backpack folds up into a tiny pouch AND comes in 11 colors. There’s something for everyone!

19. Language Learning Software

Is your traveling friend headed off on a big trip to a country where they don’t speak the language? Surprise them with Rosetta Stone or Babbel, two amazing language learning programs to help catch them up to speed!

20. The Bucket List

This book looks totally awesome and like it would fit on my coffee table really well…LOL. For real though, I’ve flipped through this book and the images are stunning and will give anyone who owns it some serious wanderlust.

21. Carry-On Cocktail Kit

I think this one’s pretty self-explanatory. I can’t be the only one who’s been mid-flight jonesing for a legit cocktail…amiright?! So thank you, Carry-On Cocktail Kit for making something for everyone. You da best.

22. Portable Bluetooth Speaker

Raise your hand if you’ve been in this situation: You check into your hotel room, start unpacking, and decide you want to listen to some music. So you look for the plug-in but *GASP*. The hotel only has an iPod hook-up. No aux cord. No Bluetooth. You’re straight up having a first-world panic attack because it doesn’t work with your phone. You have to get crafty with it. You turn on your music and put your phone in a glass. Meh, it works. But wouldn’t it have been so much easier if you had just packed a handy-dandy Bluetooth speaker?! The answer is yes. Exhibit A: WonderboomJBL, and Bose all for under $100. You can thank me later.

23. Under-Eye Masks

Under-eye masks are the bee’s knees, especially when you’ve had a night out on the town, perhaps it was one too many tequilas because it’s Mexico! And that’s just what you do, but the next day you’re taking lots of photos, and you want to look cute, but your eyes are too puffy because tequila so you end up wearing your sunglasses all day, which is a shame…and HEY! This is just an example of what could happen…not that it happened to me or anything. Anywayyyy. Do your traveling bud a favor and stuff their stocking with this set from Blaq. They’re awesome.

24. Travel Cable Organizer

This just seems like a super smart thing to give anyone who travels a lot, especially since nowadays, it seems like we have a cord for everything (phone, tablet, laptop, earbuds, etc.). This organizer has a pocket for everything! And it comes in a couple of different colors too.

25. Sony a6000 Digital Camera

This is if you like, really love the person you’re buying the gift for. I shoot with a Sony camera, and absolutely love the brand. This camera is a perfect beginner’s camera in the Sony Alpha series – it’s small, lightweight, and great for travel (being that it’s small and lightweight!) It takes stunning images and has a great resolution. Definitely recommend this camera, or any Sony camera for that matter!

*This is not sponsored by Sony, but like, heyyy Sony, if you want to hit me up, I’d be down!!*

Well I hope you enjoyed my Holiday Gift Guide. I certainly enjoyed “shopping” for all of your loved ones out there! I’m sure they will absolutely love whatever you get them, and if not, thankfully Amazon offers free returns.

Happy Holidays!

-Kelsey
